My late parents wanted the children to get up early even on the lst day of CNY as they believed that those who slept late meant lazy. So during such time, I used to get up as early as before 6am and prayed in the family altar where late Dad would burn the incense, light up candles and prayed.

Late mum used to cook long life noodles with chicken soups but before eating those, we were served with fresh boiled vegetables.

As today mark the lst day of CNY 2012, recalling back my late mum was a very capable woman who would administer to cook a few tables of food and as far as my memory can keep, they were meat balls cum soup, fried eggs soup, dark soya sauce chicken, fried kueh tae, fried noodles, mixed vegetables, fried fish, beancurd soup and so many in the list that recalled myself in the typical

foochow family.

Time is indeed passing fast. This is my 4th CNY here. Away from my home town. My birth place. Now, I am so used to life here than there…. celebration here is far busier than over there I suppose and everything can be within reach.

By then, we all celebrate rather moderately here with the cooking done by myself n another. Most of the preparations were done as far back as in the school holidays last year esp. the cleaning up.. Cheers to Didi.. who consistently helped to clean up all windows and curtains and today he broke my record of making the “seo mai” hahaha..

All pictures will be uploaded.. Hope by late 2nite.. we will stay awake until past midnite as one of our doggies is very afraid of fire crackers so we have to keep it company!

Hi Peeps, I havent told you, during my last two trips to Sibu, I just listened most of Boney M songs over and over the 800km + (to/fro).

When I recalled, I likened to listen to their songs when I was in my upper secondary schools.

Whenever festival come in, I like to go to shop here and there. On 22 Dec 2011 is Winter Solostice in our lunar calendar and we even have no time to eat our rice balls this year, though I have bought the rice powder already.

Perhaps today is the time to make and cook with pandan leaves.

Well, talking about shopping, we went to Spring and we found we were in another land as if.. hehehe.. and then to 688 and we found O gosh, their theme is already set on CNY .. so many things on CNY decors so long your pockets are full, you can buy anything!

I think, it is time to stop here for a while as the birds are chirping off and I think I better do my other things now.

“Boxing Day” 26 Dec 2011 (6:05am)

It is my time, peeps! When I was in my teen years, I used to have this day called “Boxing Day”. I also forgot, which year in my life, this day which should be a public holiday was erased from the government official calendar. Well, it did gave me something to recall, it was always nice to have holidays esp. when one is a worker. But for me now, every day is a holiday to me, as I have my holidays since the schools here have holidays!

It was the busy days in the past month and now and of course next year’s ahead. In the past few weeks, we were preparing our Christmas holidays and the festive seasons means lots of house cleaning, decorations etc.

On Xmas’s eve, the rain fell too heavily, we were not out for the midnite mass and only yest. evening, we have our Xmas’s mass at 5:30pm even under the heavy rain. We only visited our neighbour, the Bidayuh nurse and family again for the 3rd consecutive year.

In the church, of course, we saw much decorations but many could have spoilt due to the heavy rain outside. I only took some photos of the inner side of the church. The whole atmosphere is joyful esp. the priest is very joyful in every of his sermon. It lifts up every one in the congregation at any time even though it was such a wet Christmas Day.

We enjoyed much but didnt go any “makan” any where as it was too wet for the feet lol..

Today is Boxing day already, only a few more days, 2011 is flying away. As we greet 2012, what are there for us to receive and to go ahead?

Well, you always set many resolutions, but not me. For me, I always keep inside my heart and head. hehehe.. until I achieved all then you will know what are they lol.. Why should I bla..2… until I didnt achieve it one day and being laughed by you then..hehehe..

Hi Peeps, wanna you still come to view my blog any more? Of late, it is not that I have abandoned this blog but rather there were a few hundred of hackers into mine. What is that trail of sweetness of hacking?

Well, I start to reminisce over once I was in my lower secondary school, I read one short story book ‘ Travel Round the World in Eighty days”. At that time, I always thought, how could I make it? When? It is really something with good finance to travel if one is to embark such a journey. When I recalled, time is just passing damn fast, at that time, I could be just 13-15 years old.

When last Tuesday, I went back to home town, Sibu the biggest town in the 3rd Division of Sarawak, Borneo Island to be exact. I went to Sacred Heart School, to pick my son’s SPM cert. which was lying there for the 3rd year already! The clerk only worked 2 years meant that the cert was older in years in the school than her service. I gave her a small blue pen from LOGOS which made her smiled wide!

Then we headed to the tamu of Sibu which is considered the biggest in Msia. We were hungry ghosts as if, we bought many $$$ of kongpian, zunong pian, keoteow, mee and kampau. Loaded in the back of our double cab, we were able to resell but not a single bit, we came back to hibernate and eat for the holidays lol.

Of course, we went to see our old home, passing by we met our sis in law and grand nephews. He smiled so sweetly when he saw my durians.. hahaha.. and he quickly grabbed his bike and sat on like a “sar-yer” with his younger bro standing next to him… I quickly had a memory how I was when I was young, I couldnt compare life with them now but I didnt miss a single childhood days. Sis in law was much huggard as compared the last CNY when I was there. She planted so many banana plants and just touched my heart as my heart all went to her as she toiled too much for the family!

We went to take a rough glance of our home while the tenant appreciated much of our durians and other fruit trees that we brought along and within an hour, we headed home some 400 km away again. (My tenant looked much happier and sort like younger than the last round we met…. cheers then, she must be finding a good place lol..)

Then came yest. we decided we went again, so once arriving the old home, some parents were there with the tenant so we headed for town again. We parked our car on the 9th level of SMC parking bldg which was the lst and the ever with such big car up there… I grumbled as not used to it and going down and up made me giddy! (The elect. was shut down!) so the street yest. was damn crowded and messy!

Where came all those people, I questioned myself as I walked along! People said Sibu is a dead town but not indeed. It is so lively with people brushing my shoulders and I have to squeeze to walk through in some places.

We ordered tian pian gu and had a good early lunch! There we met the Auntie Ahchaie .. when I heard her voice, I could recognise it without looking at her and then I returned my head, indeed it was her! She shouted at me and when I saw her, I just couldnt imagine, she looked much older than her age, did she see in me then?

We went to buy some more local made biscuits like kongpian etc and then some china small oranges .. damn cheap as compared to Kuching lol. We gave some to tenant and her family deeply touched her as she kept “salam’ us lol.

Now, one thing, is the change of the round-about now. It is going to be a traffic light soon and then that damn supermarket built a big high rise metal scraping thingy behind my neighbour’s house! Woow.. what a damn unlawful world is this? (didnt snap this round as I cared more of my own things.. no time for that!)

Yest. before we went home, we met our relative in the clinic n of course I also gave her mil some angpau lah.. n the doc told me that area, most houses were reclaimed by that shit toukay! ahah.. I told the doc, what is his offer? in USD? kah? I hate hearing all those nonsenses that they wished us to the lowest but would you think they can have their agenda kah?I even told the doc, now I saw u ppl kept fighting leh? He blushed and went back to his clinic lol.

Well, today, I called up my nephew, my grand nephews’ papa that we have to UPhold my late parents, his grandparents’ glory and name! He is giving a very firm affirmation that he will. I deeply love him and his siblings and his mummy.. I am sure my this nephew and siblings will see glory as they have Prof. very soon, a qualified accountant sister and another bro with a qualified NZ deg. I wish them well here and best of everything. Their elder bro is helping at home so far. He is okay then.

Well… I am very sure, my secret mission is achieved some where. What about you peep? Do take care and no need to be envious of me, peeping and hacking me lol…

I give you my song.. I love wondering and go listen in youtube lol! Shall we go round the world in 3 months? hehehe…

p/s I dont like Sibu town so crowded with no proper walkway at all. All people try to drive their biggest cars but no where to turn! It raised my bp at that noon hours !

Actions

Actions – actions are performing sthg like walking, typing, writing, speaking, reading, laughing and etc..

This morning, I saw my male cat, Mr Burry in full action trying to catch a bumblebee which perched above a stick. When the bumblebee buzzed, Mr Burry leaped as high as 3 feet into the air to catch the bee. Though it didnt catch the bee, I found its action extremely wonderful and I have never seen any cat in such action before.

(Hope to upload my Persian and local mixed Mr Burry, the cat.. he is rather handsome lol..)

Students come & stay

This year, there are many times, the students come and stay at our home again

b4 their sports the following day. Today, we have another 3 students to stay with us b4 their Open Sports at Petra Jaya 2morrow morning.

Those mountain kids are so curious as they have not been to city! Thus, they find it fun to stay with us!
